I know my opinion doesnt really matter, but maybe it can save you from wasting a $1.99. The game is quite repetitive. But, its incredibly fun for a while. If there were more mechanics and the price was .99 I would easily recommend this as one of the better horror games on the App Store. Well, if you can call it a horror game. This game was never scary, just creepy. I was never even close to being scared, even with headphones in the dark. The horror element was never really there for me. But, if your looking for an intuitive echolocation-based adventure game with sharp, responsive controls, stealth elements and a lot of suspense at times this is for you.

Well, I bought this game hoping that its reviews were genuine. This game is not only as scary as the muppet babies, but the mechanics loose steam very quickly. I was hoping to have a game that would be stimulating and scary but to my disappointment this game is lacking in every department as soon as you understand the monotone mechanics. Its a walk around game where you walk away from red circles and when you get too close a scream happens and I guess its supposed to be scary... Lame duck game... Where is my $$....

I love this game, it is super addictive, though the last level is super hard... TRY this game at least, its really cool

I love this game so far(Im bad at it). The game is awesome because you always have to be quiet or play it smart. By the way the death scream has dug itself in my brain.

Its fun and enjoyable. Not to mention that its a great concept. However... I cant hear anything. Headphones plugged in and sound all the way up, no sound. No headphones and sound all the way up, no sound. Can anyone help me?

Couldnt get into it. I gave a try and kept at it for bit.

Tedious, repetitive, and never actually frightening. I scare easily at horror games but was utterly bored with Dark Echo. The core gameplay isnt enough to sustain the experience anyway.

Its fun and different from other games! Pretty fun so far!

This game is not easy but extremely fun. Dont ever pass an opportunity like this one for a great experience.

There is no such thing as tracking sound by a line, sounds are waves. Sound does not make a different, "red" sound when something is not a cave wall, in fact, if its living, it likely will absorb the sound. Water does a similar thing. Of course, this doesnt affect the gameplay, right? Well no, but the less logical a game is, the more irritating it gets when you lose because, well, an illogical reason. You see, when I was playing, one of those sound lines snuck its way through the thin cave crevice, bounced into a red thing, then it knew exactly where I was, so it walked through the wall (I know makes sense, right?) and turns me into a bunch of red lines. Sure, I could ignore it, that is, until every level is about tiptoeing around red things, splashing water, tiptoeing some more, and my favorite—going down several paths until it doesnt lead to restarting the whole level for the tenth time. The rocks were the only thing that made me finish it, which I realize are one of the most game breaking game mechanics. And what the hell are the treasures for? I dont care to look for them, the game has no replay value.

Boring! Really? Who finds this scary and exciting? I read some reviews and they talk about how amazing and addicting this game is. Ok I just dont see how amazing this is. Just plain and simple....its really boring!!!

First off I love how you created a game based off of listening. This game is addicting and I love every second of it. The creators did a great job!

I would have gone an given it a 5 but. Its not scary, its not a horror game. I was expecting more intimidation. You click an hold to move, you see the sound waves to show you the hall way an what way you can go. You can also hold an tap to echo as far as it can go so you can see farther in the room. Its really super fun no lie. But some of the reviews I thought maybe were fake because they really built it up to way beyond itself so I just had to try. But ya no not scary at all.

Very unusual game where you play ostensibly like a blind person, although the blindness is represented visually and schematically. Very cool and definitely worth trying!

This game it amazing! You have been sent on a series of rooms when you have just been blinded. Your hearing is twice as good... When you move, some of the room has been revealed... When you clap, you see almost everything for a short amount of time. As you continue, you realize that you are not alone... These creatures that try to hunt you down, they follow the sound that you make... Try to escape...

Wonderful app with a different concept ... Only played for half an hour and i already got what i paid for :)
